BELIZE - Central America

In the middle of the jungles of Belize, they have recently uncovered a new site that the civilization of Mayan's lived in from 1500 BC to 1500 AD. It was an 1 1/2 hour river trip to get there.
We thought the name was interesting. They said it meant submerged crocodile. Yeah right. What do they know. We thought it might have come from somewhere else. There were three layers of cities built on each other here. They've just begun to unearth them.
Then we had to hike through the jungle to reach the site as well. This is dense and HOT!
The first site of the main temple of the Juguar.
Can you spot the crocodile? It's head is right in the middle. Look hard!
